expand/collapse NIEs: Waste of Time?
by Cindy Sheehan
On August 6th, 2001, exactly 36 days before 9-11, George was handed an NIE that was actually titled: "Bin Laden determined to strike in the US."

Now we have the NIE that says that Iran has no nuclear weapon program and has not had one since 2003. Investigative journalist Seymour Hersch claims that BushCo has known at the highest levels about this intelligence for over a year, but they have all been beating their evil drums of war against Iran, nevertheless.

To restore the rule of law and order and sanity to this world, George and Dick must be impeached and removed from office.

How much more evidence does Congress, Inc. need? Perhaps each and every member needs to be smacked up one side of the head with a copy of the Constitution and to follow up, a smack on the other side with a copy of the Geneva Conventions?

expand/collapse Let Us Kill All the Teddy Bears
by Mark Morford
I think of how many senators and Bible-thumpers and Bush-bashed Americans who are seeing stories like this and snorting, "See? Murderous Muslim fanatics raging in the streets! This is why Christianity is so much better. This is why we should bomb the Middle East to rubble. Bush is right!" And they raise their flags and cock their Bibles and pat themselves on their arrogant backs, conveniently forgetting that the only real difference between radical Islam and Christianity's own bloody, murderous past is, well, a bit of time, with a splash of geography.

Today's Quote:

"I'm the Decider, and I decide what is best."
- George W. Bush, April 18, 2006
Today's Definition:

De·cid'er
 n.
  1. The onewho makes the decisions.
  2. See: dictator.
[Middle English deciden, from Old French decider, from Latin de-ci-dere, to cut off, decide : de--, de- + caedere, to cut.]

Editor's Notes & Rants:

White House admits Bush lied on Tuesday, he WAS told that Iran had stopped its nuclear weapons program back in August. Bush will claim that DNI McConnell only said there was "new information," but never told him what it was, because - you know - he's only the president. Dumbya has neither the attention span, nor the comprehension to actually be involved in stuff. Anything important has to go to Dick Cheney.

Cheney says NIE may hinder US policy of genocidal crimes against humanity. Not to mention evenutally be used against him in a war crimes tribunal.

Russia says Iran never had a nuclear weapons program. It was all just a figment of Cheney's demon-possessed imagination.

Hillary thinks her powers transcend time. She believes her vote on Iran in 2007 somehow forced them to stop their nuclear program in 2003.

Two thirds of Israelis oppose an attack on Iran. Of course -- just like America -- they are not really a democracy, so their leaders don't give a damn what the people want.

As if it wasn't the plan all along, DINOs say they may capitulate and give Der Führer all the money he demands -- and more -- for his war crimes in Iraq, with no requirement of ever bringing the troops home. "New strategy," my ass!

Heck of a week, Huckabee.

The Devil's candidate. With the revelation that Mike Huckabee released rapist/murderer Wayne DuMond because the victim was a relative of Bill Clinton, James Dobson leans toward endorsing him.

Insisting they have a God-given right to fleece their flocks, preachers wolves in sheep's clothing refuse to cooperate with Senate investigation into Evangelical corruption.
