expand/collapse Gangster Giuliani
by Margaret Kimberley
Giuliani has credibility with most Republican voters because of his warmongering and inclination to inflict physical pain on dark people. He is still in trouble with conservative Christians for his pro-choice position as mayor of New York City and for publicly treating his wife and children like dirt. He plans to make up for that by being more overtly racist.

There is every reason to believe that Giuliani will act out his every sick fantasy if he were to occupy the oval office. There is no reason to believe that Democrats would finally behave like an opposition. A Giuliani presidency is a nightmarish scenario. It is hard to imagine a worse president than George W. Bush, but Rudolph Giuliani fits that description perfectly.

Pat Robertson Says Giuliani Presidency Appears in Book of Revelations
by Andy Borowitz
One day after endorsing former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani for president, televangelist Pat Robertson explained his decision, saying that a Giuliani presidency features prominently in the Book of Revelations.

In his endorsement announcement the day before, Rev. Robertson had made reference to Mr. Giuliani’s tenure as “America’s Mayor,” but did not indicate that the Republican frontrunner was a key player in the Bible’s most apocalyptic book.

In his statement today, however, the televangelist made it clear that “in order for the Second Coming to occur, the world needs to end, and Rudy Giuliani is just the man for that job.”

expand/collapse The Time-To-Make-the-Doughnuts Candidate
by Ted Rall
President Hillary won’t close Gitmo. She won’t stop torturing. She won’t stop listening to our phone calls. She won’t stop the war in Iraq, much less in Afghanistan. Heck, she might even start a new one.

Fool you once, shame on Bush. Fool you twice, I stop thinking how cool it would be for the United States to finally elect a woman president.

expand/collapse Democrats' Year of Living Fecklessly
by Robert Parry
One year ago, the Democrats ended Republican control of Congress, stirring millions of Americans to hope that George W. Bush’s Iraq War and his assault on the US Constitution finally would be stopped.

Twelve months later, many of those once-hopeful voters feel bitter disillusionment toward the national Democratic Party, which has surrendered in showdown after showdown with the weakened President, from continuing to write blank checks for the Iraq War to ceding more power to him for his surveillance operations.

The nation needs to go to its room
by Alan Bisbort
We're tired of lead entering the bodies of our children, from Iowa to Iraq. We're tired of cheap goods passed off as name brands, Yale and Harvard-educated presidents who are learning-disabled lunatics, "commanding generals" who are publicists, "journalists" who are stenographers, diplomats who act like drunken sailors on shore leave, attorney generals who are crooks, gay-bashers who are closeted gays. We're tired of learning about dangers to our health, long after our exposure to the poison.

This week, the Washington Post reported that Bush's past two heads of the Consumer Product Safety Commission were bought off by the industries they regulate. They got 30 free trips to various parts of the world — including golf weekends at Hilton Head — where the unsafe products are made and came back praising the effectiveness of "voluntary" standards monitored by the manufacturers themselves. Because they've worked so well these past six years, apparently.

expand/collapse The Anti-Americanism of the Israel-Firsters
by Michael Scheuer
I wish to directly refute Mr. Schoenfeld's claim that I "cast aspersions on American Jews." I do not cast aspersions, I forthrightly damn, and pray that God damns, any American – Jew, Catholic, Evangelical, Irish, German, Hindu, hermaphrodite, thespian, or otherwise – who flogs the insane idea that American and Israeli interests are one and the same. The nation-state of Israel is an intolerable burden to the treasury and security of the United States, and Washington's current relationship with Israel – sanctioned by the AIPAC-funded political leaders of both parties – is one of several factors that are leading to full-scale American participation in other peoples' religious wars, religious wars that David Horowitz's recent "Islamofascist Awareness Week" manifestly wants to bring to the streets of the United States.

Editor's Notes & Rants:

Poll: Only 1 in 4 Americans think we are winning the war in Iraq. You know what that means. Time for a new war!

Israel says it's time to attack Iran and start WWIII.

The Parasitic State of Israel tries to extort more money from Germany. How about some compensation for all the Palestinians they've murdered, all the homes they've destroyed, all the land they've stolen?

National disgrace: 1 in 4 homeless are Veterans. Or, as Bush would say: Mission Accomplished!

80% of all artifacts missing from Reagan library. Well, what did you expect from a Party of kleptomaniacs?

Aqua Dots: The Pedophiles Toy of Choice. Recall of Chinese made toy coated with chemical that mimics "date-rape drug."

Another Bush appointment, no doubt. COO of National Children's Museum arrested for child porn.

US prosecutors to ask grand jury to indict Rudy Mussolini's partner in crime, Bernard Kerik, for tax fraud, corruption and conspiracy.
