Hillary's Idea of Fun
Or, how the once favored candidate resembles the most loathed girl on campus
by Andrew GumbelAbout 40 minutes into the debate, I noticed what might be described as the converse phenomenon: that this woman really doesn’t have a sense of humor. And if she thinks something is funny, or “fun,” as she sometimes puts it, it is pretty reliably a signal to the rest of us that something distasteful or outright disgusting is afoot.
Animation: Pop Goes the Hillary
by Ann TelnaesPersonally, I prefer the image of a house dropping on her.
Satire: KKK Endorses Obama
by James CroweSpeaking from his Kentucky office in Dawson Springs, the Imperial Wizard exclaimed that anything or anyone is better than having that "crazy ass bitch" as President.
Obama's No Progressive
by Michael KwiatkowskiI realize Obama supporters don't like to read the truth about their candidate, and who can blame them? After eight years of destructive Republican policies, the desperation for some actual change -- even if it is only an illusion -- is certainly understandable. But it is because desperation can lead to making serious mistakes in an election year critical to America's future that it is important for Democrats to know exactly who it is we're prepared to hand the nomination to. Barack Obama simply is not a progressive, he's just another DINO who has somehow managed to fool a lot of people.
The Obama Craze
Count Me Out
by Matt GonzalezOnce I started looking at the votes Obama actually cast, I began to hear his rhetoric differently. The principal conclusion I draw about “change” and Barack Obama is that Obama needs to change his voting habits and stop pandering to win votes. If he does this he might someday make a decent candidate who could earn my support. For now Obama has fallen into a dangerous pattern of capitulation that he cannot reconcile with his growing popularity as an agent of change.
Video: New Rules
by Bill MaherWhat really frightens the Right about Obama.
Satire: Homegrown Terrorism
Keeping your eye on others isn’t sneaky - it’s patriotic!
by Mark DroletteI, too, believe in First Amendment rights, even for those whose stupid views I respectfully disagree with, but, jeez, can’t they shut up about it already? These ingrates don’t care that by using the civil liberties our brave soldiers and uncounted mercenaries are killing thousands in Iraq to protect, they’re playing right into the terrorists’ hands, the very ones who hate us for the freedoms we used to have. |
