America is no longer the home of the free and the brave. It's now the home of cowards who have surrendered their freedom to fascists offering vague promises of "homeland security."
As a rationale for why Democratic Party superdelegates should pick her over Obama, it's a slap in the face to the party's most loyal constituency African Americans and a repudiation of principles the party claims to stand for. Here's what she's really saying to party leaders: There's no way that white people are going to vote for the black guy. Come November, you'll be sorry.
Let's examine those premises. These are white Democrats we're talking about, voters who generally share the party's philosophy. So why would these Democrats refuse to vote for a nominee running on Democratic principles against a self-described conservative Republican? The answer, which Clinton implies but doesn't quite come out and say, is that Obama is black and that white people who are not wealthy are irredeemably racist.
The other notion that Clinton could position herself as some kind of Great White Hope and still expect African American voters to give her their enthusiastic support in the fall is just nuts. Obama has already won a majority of the Democratic primary contests; within a couple of weeks, he almost certainly will have won a majority of the pledged convention delegates and will be assured of finishing with more of the popular vote. Only in Camp Clinton does anyone believe that his supporters will be happy if party leaders tell him, in effect, "Nice job, kid, but we can't give you the nomination because, well, you're black. White people might not like that."
A Barack Obama presidency would certainly be a first - the first time that "most black people will end their historic progressive politics and applaud this country's criminal activity just because the head criminal looks like them." Despite the fact that African Americans overwhelmingly agree with the thrust of Rev. Jeremiah Wright's critique of American society, history and government policies, they will undoubtedly vote in huge majorities for the Illinois senator who has repudiated Wright. "Obama's campaign has been filled with a laundry list of lies" and promises to continue on that track. But, as with Colin Powell's lying, international lawbreaking term in high office, "most black people [will make] excuses for him and for his crimes." Although verbally less bellicose than Hillary Clinton, Obama is no less the warmonger in substance.
Normal nations, like normal people, dont celebrate their days of infamy. In fact, they struggle to forget them. Some countries with
troubled past try hard to deal with their shameful legacies, often by openly acknowledging their sins and apologizing to their victims and to their victims descendants.
However, in Israel, which encapsulates evil and racism, ethnic cleansing is celebrated with utmost pride as a consummate national achievement and a glorious success story. This is our manifest destiny, many Zionists would ostentatiously argue, with glee and deep satisfaction apparent in the tone of their voices.
Zio-Nazism
The loathsome smearing of Israel's critics
by Johann Hari
In the US and Britain, there is a campaign to smear anybody who tries to describe the plight of the Palestinian people. It is an attempt to intimidate and silence and to a large degree, it works. There is nobody these self-appointed spokesmen for Israel will not attack as anti-Jewish: liberal Jews, rabbis, even Holocaust survivors.
The US Nazi Army
In what universe could this possibly be moral?
by Chris Floyd
Tell me that this doesn't sound like something out of a history of Nazi tactics in World War II:
The rules [of engagement]t explicitly allowed the killing of unarmed Iraqis under certain circumstances Specifically, the snipers were allowed to shoot unarmed people running away from explosions or firefights.
In other words, if an innocent, unarmed Iraqi runs away to seek safety from a suicide bombing, a missile attack or a gunfight which any human being would instinctively do then he is fair game to be killed by an American sniper.
The Silenced Majority
No one wants another war so why does it seem inevitable?
by Justin Raimondo
The second chapter in the Great Middle Eastern War is being written, and its authors in Washington have in mind an even more dramatic plot-line than we witnessed in chapter one, which was, of course, the invasion of Iraq. In the run-up to that conflict, we were told Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, links to al-Qaeda, and was getting ready to wreak havoc on our allies in the region and even attack the United States. None of it turned out to be true, as we now know, but, as John McCain says, "we're there now," "we're in it to win it" and winning it apparently means extending the war to Iran.
In what some Democratic Party insiders are calling a particularly ominous sign for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, former president Bill Clinton today became the latest superdelegate to switch from Sen. Clinton to her rival, Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL).
Today's Hillary Joke:
"So here is what happened on Tuesday. Hillary Clinton barely won my home state of Indiana. And she lost in the State of North Carolina. But here is the good news. She has a substantial lead in the state of denial. Thank you so much."
"The Clinton quest for 'new math' is getting comical. In a race that everyone understands is about accumulating delegates, she wants us to focus on anything but that metric. She's won the big states! She's carrying older states! She's carrying the less-educated-whites vote! She's doing well in hard-to-spell states! She's carrying states where Obama was not on the ballot! She'd win in China! If you took the number of people who voted for each candidate and multiplied it by Pi, then attributed to Hillary all votes won by her husband in 1996, she would win!"
Oil hit $126/bbl this morning, which means you'll soon be paying $4-5/gal for gas. And that's before the NeoCrazies in the White House attack Iran, when it will double or maybe triple overnight.
So, Democrats have to release their tax returns, but filthy-rich Republicans don't? Cindy McCain says it's nobody's business how much money they have, or where it comes from.
If that isn't "elitism," I don't know what is.
Cyclonic stupidity. As many as one million people could die of starvation and disease in Myanmar, as Bush-like junta refuses to allow aid.
